The guys and girls on the 2013 challenge.

Every year, Ian Brown organises a group cycling challenge, which is affectionately known as the 30/30 (eg 30 rides in 30 days) in aid of Les Bourgs Hospice.  This is my 4th year and I’m hoping to raise loads of money by cycling up many of the steepest Guernsey hills every day and achieve 30,000ft of climbing (day 7 and 10,720 ft, since you ask).

Just to add a bit to this challenge, I’ve decided to use my fixed wheel bike (with no special gearing) to climb those damn hills.  If you want to pledge or sponsor me, please go to www.justgiving.com/timloveridgefixed.

Thank you!

OK.  I think I’m getting the hang of this.

Welcome to my blog, which will definitely involve camera kit (current addiction goes to Fujifilm) and bicycles.  As a starter for ten, and because Richard (my cycling bud) should definitely buy one, here’s a picture of the gorgeous Pinarello Catena:

Go on Rich.  It’s only money, you only live once, and who needs a new house anyway? 😉

Perhaps this is what the blog will be all about – temptation….
